BMW X1 xDrive28i: debutta il 2.0 TwinPower Turbo

BMW X1 xDrive28i

BMW lancia la nuova X1 xDrive28i che porta al debutto il nuovo 2.0 TwinPower Turbo: si tratta di un nuovo 4 cilindri benzina ad iniezione diretta a 200 bar di pressione ( o “High Precision Injection” secondo il dizionario tecnico di Monaco), dotato di turbocompressore con tecnologia twin-scroll e Valvetronic, sistema elettronico di alzata variabile delle valvole. Così configurato il nuovo propulsore monacense eroga ben 245 CV a 5000 rpm e ben 350 Nm di coppia massima ad appena 1250rpm. Il suo basamento è costruito in alluminio e può essere abbinato alla trasmissione manuale a 6 rapporti oppure a quella automatica ad 8. Naturalmente il propulsore fa sue tutte le tecnologie del programma BMW Efficient Dynamics, come il sistema Start/Stop.

I dati prestazionali della X1 xDrive28i sono di tutto rispetto: la casa dichiara un consumo medio di 7.9 litri/100 km (9.9 l/100 km nel ciclo urbano e 6.7l/100 km in quello extraurbano) ed emissioni di CO2 di 183 g/km (euro 5). La vettura copre lo 0-100 km/h in appena 6.1 secondi (6.5 con l’automatico) e tocca la ragguardevole velocità massima di 240 km/h. Davvero niente male se si considera la presenza della trazione integrale, e degli attriti derivanti, nonché il peso della vettura che raggiunge i 1655 kg (secondo normative EU; 1670 kg con trasmissione automatica). Ciò fa ben sperare per le future applicazioni sul resto della gamma BMW. A cominciare dalla Z4.
